#WalangPasok: Manila suspends Sept. 22 afternoon classes, government work due to volcanic fog

From the Manila Public Information Office

Due to the volcanic sulfuric dioxide emission from the Taal Volcano, the Manila Public Information Office is announcing the suspension of all face-to-face classes at all levels and in-person government work within the city starting at 1:00 PM on September 22, 2023.

Meanwhile, health service and disaster response agencies are expected to continue their operations as the city experiences the presence of volcanic smog. In the meantime, the wearing of facemasks and limited outdoor activity are also advised.

Stay safe, CASAns!
