To honor St. Thomas Aquinas, the patron saint of the University of Santo Tomas, the Office of the Vice-Rector for Religious Affairs and the Center for Campus Ministry will celebrate a Triduum (a three-day religious observance) along with the launch of the Triennium of St. Thomas Aquinas 2023-2025.
In a memo released by the Office of the Secretary-General on January 12, 2023, which provides details on the commemoration, it will be held at the Santisimo Rosario Parish Church—UST.
Here is the list of activities:
January 24-26, 2023 (Tuesday-Thursday): Triduum in honor of St. Thomas Aquinas
January 27, 2023 (Friday): University Fiesta Mass in honor of St. Thomas Aquinas and Launch of the Triennium of Saint Thomas Aquinas 2023-2025
4:00PM: Holy Eucharist to be presided by His Excellency Most Rev. Teodoro C. Bacani, DD, Bishop Emeritus of Novaliches, Presider and Preacher
5:00PM: The Launch of the Triennium of Saint Thomas Aquinas 2023-2025.
This event opens the celebration of three (3) important jubilees of Saint Thomas Aquinas
2023 marks the 700th anniversary of his canonization (18 July 1323)
2024 is the 750th anniversary of his death (07 March 1274)
2025 is the 800th anniversary of his birth (28 January 1225)
Note: Academic staff teaching subjects/courses related to faith and morals shall receive the academic mandatum, and will make their Profession of Faith and Oath of Fidelity. The Mandatum Cross refers to the visible manifestation of the professors and the University's abiding commitment to ensuring the delivery of sound religious education that's faithful to the Magisterium of the Church.

In line with this, classes and work at the University are suspended on January 28, 2023 (Saturday) in observance of the Solemnity of Saint Thomas Aquinas.
