Last February 3, 2023, CASA Retorika's official Spotify Podcast, Kwentorika: Ang CASAma mo sa Kwentuhan, went back on air and discussed their plans for the new year as proudly thriving CASAns.
This time, for their upcoming fifth episode, Kwentorika tackles the topic of love for the month of February. Hosted by the talents of CASA Retorika, Whella Gimena, and Elsa Macalinao, the episode entitled “What is Love, Actually?” is set to get into the overarching themes of love as experienced by college students, especially Thomasians.
The episode is not only for those who are in healthy relationships with their significant other but also for those who are single and seek to flourish themselves. Balancing academics, organizational work, social life, self-care, and love takes a lot of work, especially on days when you are occupied, and it becomes too hectic. Deciding to commit despite our boundless responsibilities takes a lot of courage. How can one cope with the gaps and hurdles of life and set boundaries for each aspect?
Love is not an easy thing, more so when "ghosting" takes place in your dating life (also a label that would often be associated with us Thomasians). Things do not work out well sometimes, and that is the reality of relationships for us, but so is the pressure of being in a relationship. From our peers, blockmates, and even family, we have received countless uncalled-for remarks concerning our love life status. These are areas of discussion that will be touched upon in the fifth episode.
