First Part: General Questions

What steps will you take or leadership approach that you will practice in ensuring that all student voices, particularly CASAns will be heard and considered?
Regarding this question, I want to practice being proactive in leading the students. In utilizing social media platforms, I want to be a student na proactive na I would not wait for students for them to want na ma-amplify yung voices nila. Rather, I want to be a student leader na ako na mismo ‘yung mags-start or magtake ng initiative na to amplify their voices. I believe in a student-led community and I want to have a mindset na “Mula sa estudyante, para sa estudyante” to encourage and empower students or CASAns in showcasing their talents and abilities and having their voices amplified in voicing their concerns and criticisms.

UST CASA has a current branding of Creativity, Versatility, and Redefined. As a running student council member for the next academic year, what do you think is the implication of these words to the CASAns?

Creativity, versatility, and redefined, is the core concept of CASAns to thrive and excel. Kita naman natin ‘to sa mga projects and events where CASAns are leading in those events and they have outputs where– talagang nagpapakita ng pagiging Communication student. As a student leader, this is where we go in na as student leaders, we are tasked to help CASAns for this situation to happen where we continue to help CASAns in thriving and excelling in different projects and events.

Third Part: Final Specified Questions

How do you plan to leverage social media to engage with the students and a much wider community?
I want to boost engagement and participation and of CASAns through different avenues of social media platforms. Right now, we have so many forms, platforms, avenues of social media from Facebook to Instagram that can be utilized to boost engagement, and participation, and foster a sense of community within CASAns. Right now, especially sa mga younger students, and even within the university, most of us prefer shorter videos, reels, and shorts, and I would like to utilize that interest ng mga CASAns to really show what CASA has to offer with events and yung mga skills and talents.

As a communication student and a running PRO, what do you think is the most important principle that a Communication student-leader should observe especially in terms of various media platforms?

As a Communication student leader, I would like to highlight or emphasize the importance of having accountability through media literacy. Especially as a running Public Relations Officer, I should know the importance of being credible, and accountable especially on social media platforms where fake news, misinformation, and disinformation is very rampant right now. And having this position right now is a big deal or big responsibility in upholding the student rights and also being credible and accountable on social media.
