The Sine Reel Opening Ceremony was held yesterday, December 6, 2022 via livestream on their official Facebook page. 4th-year students from the communication program have exhibited their prowess in filmmaking at the annually-held film festival.

Throughout the virtual event, our CASAn seniors showcased the trailers for their films, followed by each director of the respective film group coming to answer the questions from media correspondents of UST-CASA Chronicle.

Now in its 17th year, Sine Reel is the longest-running student film festival in the Philippines which sculpts the capabilities of senior communication students in filmmaking. An avenue for our future professional filmmakers, the event allows them to conceive their masterpieces and tap into the critical thinking and sensibilities of the audiences. Sine Reel does not only showcase the collective artistry of the organization, but it also becomes a way for CASAns to pay respect to reputable filmmakers in the industry.
