Known for being the largest national competition that recognizes notable communication-related work, the 10th Philippine Student Quill Awards, which commenced last January 23, 2024, gave the University of Santo Tomas a total of 19 awards, raking 16 merits and 3 excellence awards, measuring up as the second-highest number of awards acquired among other universities.
In the ceremony, both university-wide organizations and students were acclaimed for their work with Tiger Media Network (TMN), the university’s official broadcasting arm, winning 8 awards; The Varsitarian, the official student publication of the university, winning 4 awards while The Flame, the official student publication of the Faculty of Arts and Letters, winning 3 awards.
Meanwhile, students from the Department of Communication and Media Studies were able to obtain their own awards as well.
Aside from the University, participating schools Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Far Eastern University, UST Angelicum College, De La Salle University DasmariƱas, Holy Angel University, Philippine High School for the Arts, and San Beda University were able to bring home awards.
