A new era for CASA was heralded yesterday, Oct 15, 2022, as Sulong CASA gave the CASAn community a peek at what's to come in the Academic Year 2022-2023.

As an effort to help the CASAn community better understand the Communication Arts Student Association’s mission and vision, Joshua Isaac T. Galvez, UST CASA’s Public Relations Officer for the Academic Year 2022-2023, introduced Sulong CASA as part of his platform last October 3, 2022.

Sulong CASA is a collaboration with CASA’s Grand Launch. It is a publicity segment divided into five parts that will cater to different information that will give a wider perception of what UST CASA is all about. It aims to introduce and reintroduce to the communication students UST CASA's mission, vision, students’ rights, and students’ responsibilities under the ratified Articles of Association. It also includes all of UST CASA’s achievements throughout the past and recent academic years.

This segment intends to bring UST CASA a strong and positive public perception and to be known not only by its name, but also by its mission and vision.

Below are the corresponding parts:

1. What is UST-CASA?

  • UST-CASA and its achievements (Benavides Outstanding Achievement Award, Tradition of Excellence Award, and IABC Philippines: Student Quill Awards)
  • Vision and Mission
  • General Plan of Action
  • An engager board: Why did you choose Communication Arts as your college program?

2. #DidYouKnow

  • AUN-QA
  • ArticlesofAssociation
  • CASA Guilds
  • CASA Pin & CASA Card

3. Annual competitions and events

4. Opportunities offered by the Communication Programs of UST-CASA

5. The UST-CASA Executive board

When asked in an interview about his inspiration in doing Sulong CASA as a platform, Mr. Galvez said, “Sa buong faculty natin, kilala ang CASA sa pagiging biggest, loudest, and proudest student organization. Pero hindi talaga nila alam na multi-awarded din ang UST-CASA. Parang gusto kong ipakilala sa students na meron din tayong ganitong award. At para ma-recognize rin ‘yung mga students.”

UST-CASA’s PRO also has two other platforms, namely CASAkip and CASAbilidad; CASAkip aims to engage and collaborate with SMEs and CASAn entrepreneurs while CASAbilidad aims to re-establish CASA Adventure, which is the official advertising, creatives, marketing, and public relations guild of CASA. Mr. Galvez targets to carry out this platform by the second semester with the Internal Vice President, Nathanael Monte.

Kevin Christian Crisolo

Hello everyone! Good morning, good afternoon, or good evening. As a 19 year old college student, communication is my passion. I am Kevin Christian S. Crisolo, but I’d like you to call me “KC”, a proud member of LGBTQ+ Community, from the land of brave and valiant men, Cavite! I am a goodhearted and sweet, expressive, and a risk taker type of person. You can catch up with me easily as 1,2,3. I am fond of mingling with others because I want to learn from their experiences and at the same time to have fun with a variety of people. And that is one of the many reasons why I have been an active member since elementary in our school publication and media. I can say that character leads my way.
