Following yesterday's Miting de Avance, the Faculty of Arts and Letters, together with its Commission on Elections, are all set to proceed with the Arts and Letters Student Council (ABSC) Elections period starting tomorrow, April 4 until April 8 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The event saw candidates introduce themselves and present their platforms as they raised issues experienced within the department. After which, they were subjected to questions from the Board of Majors regarding their platforms. The candidates were also challenged to give their stances on controversial matters inside and outside of the university. The following are the stances expressed by each candidate:

For clear voting procedures, the AB COMELEC urges everyone to follow this process:
STEP 1. ATTENDANCE
Attendance based on the class list will be checked through the Zoom platform by the COMELEC representatives. No one can enter or leave once the checking is done.
STEP 2. STUDENT NUMBER
The commissioner/s will instruct the students to log in to the Electronic Voting System.
STEP 3: ACCESS KEY
The commissioners will privately send each student an access key for the latter to access polls.
STEP 4: TEN MINUTES TO VOTE
Students may start voting once they receive their access key. Ten minutes will be given to vote for both the Local and Central Student councils.
STEP 5. REFERENCE NUMBER
After submitting their votes, a reference number will be shown before the system automatically logs out the student. Taking note of it is a must.
STEP 6: NOTIFY THE FORMER
The commissioners will require the students to notify the former once they have finished voting for both councils.
