#ChannelingGreatness: CommTV ‘24 welcomes prod houses spearheaded by junior CASAns

Cascading with the theme “Channeling Greatness,” three production houses led by junior CASAns were successfully introduced during the airing of the opening of CommTV 2024 on March 22. 

Filling the studio with their great energy are hosts KC Alanis Turtem and Dizelle Masilungan from CASA Retorika.


The production houses namely: Prime One Productions (POP), 2D Studios, and MORF went through series of questions, led by Mickyla Cassandra Conde, a correspondent from CASA Chronicle. This segment gave the prod houses a chance to introduce and promote their shows. 


Preparation of Shows

First on the seat is POP, represented by supervising producers Kent Allen Lactuan and Lois Margaret Cayetano. When asked about how were the preparation process for their shows, the supervising producers said that they went through a process of brainstorming, intense planning, scriptwriting, and finance management during their pre-production stage. 


On the other hand, 2D studios, represented by Tatjana Rizz Deocareza and Arch Angel Abella, said that in order to showcase their originality and image as 2D, they did thorough research and brainstorming. Further, they included themselves into the formation of their shows to fully grasp the Thomasian community.


MORF, coming in with their bright pink outfits, is represented by Alyana Felonia and Giella Mechtilde Diaz. They started with the planning process and decided to include shows of different genres. Moreover, Diaz mentioned that one of their shows was inspired by their class with Ma’am Faye Martel Abugan.


Strategies to maintain viewers’ interest

As part of their strategic methods, the supervising producers of POP said that they will be casting Thomasian talents to maintain viewers engagement. Moreover, they will be maximizing their social media presence and onsite activities to promote their shows. 


To maintain viewers’ interest, the supervising producers of 2D said that they will be including relevant content to their shows and will be utilizing social media to promote their shows.


On the other hand, Felonia from MORF said that they emphasize their branding and social media presence. Adding to that, Diaz mentioned that their shows are distinctly unique in order to cover various topics and stories. 


Uniqueness of the Prod houses

Popping with creativity, energy, and vibrance is the image that POP wants to showcase to their audience.

Coming from their prod house name, 2D Studios aim to showcase their excellence with the help of their talented and dynamic team. Further, they will be showcasing shows that encompass the Thomasian community and its values.


“Creativity meets Transformation,” MORF works with this tagline as they work with each other in order to create creative shows for their viewers.


“In our shows, we wanted to establish the creativity of the prod house but at the same time, have the different approach in storytelling” - Felonia
