With two months left until the end of the Academic Year 2022-2023, the University of Santo Tomas announces its upcoming schedule of activities for this year’s Graduation Season set for high school and college Thomasian completers.
In accordance with the memorandum from the UST Office of the Secretary-General, the schedule of graduation events are as follows:
Friar’s Desk Live (May 18 at 3:30 PM)
- One of the preliminary events for the graduation season, Friar's Desk is hosted by Fr. Dexter Austria, OP, and will be broadcasted by UST Tiger TV & the UST Communications Bureau; the episode will feature inspiring stories of graduating Thomasians.
Info Session on Graduation Season (May 19 at 2:00 PM)
- One of the preliminary events for the graduation season, the Info Session will be hosted by Mr. Philippe Jose Hernandez. This will be streamed live via UST's official social media page. Questions regarding the activities on the 2023 Graduation Season can be directed to this Google Form.
Student Awards Day (May 26 at 9:00 AM)
- This event recognizes the excellence and hard work of Thomasians. The awarding will be held at the Quadricentennial Pavilion Arena (QPav).
Baccalaureate Mass for Higher Education and Thanksgiving Masses for Basic Education
The Baccalaureate Mass will be held on May 30, 2023 at 4:00 PM at the UST Grandstand.
There will be post-mass events which include the Ceremony of Light, conferment of the Thomasian Mission Cross, the recitation of the Thomasian Pledge of Loyalty, and the Exit through the Arch of the Centuries.
- The Thanksgiving Masses for Basic Education are also set before the graduation rites. For the schedule, Senior High School would be on June 1, 2023 (1:00 PM - 5:00 PM) at the QPav Arena; Education High School would be on June 2, 2023 (3:00 PM - 4:00 PM) at the Education Auditorium; and Junior High School would be on June 26, 2023 (9:00 AM - 12:00 NN) at the Santisimo Rosario Parish-UST.
Solemn Investiture Rites (June 1 to June 28)
These will be held at different time slots and locations such as at the QPav, Medicine Auditorium, Education Auditorium, CME Auditorium, or the UST Chapel depending on the respective preferences of the faculties, colleges, and institutes.
