The University of Santo Tomas ranks 175th in the QS 2023 Asia University Rankings, rising by two spots compared to last year’s placement and becoming the only university ranked in the Philippines to rise in the QS rankings.
In the Philippine rankings, UST holds the 4th place amongst 16 Philippine universities included in the said rankings. The Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) rankings are a world-popular database of comparative data on university performance.
The QS rankings are based on six indicators: academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty-student ratio, citations per faculty, and international student ratio & international faculty ratio. The primary purpose of these rankings is for students to use as a basis to find a school that matches their needs through a comparison of data presented by Quacquarelli Symonds. The university rankings can be found on their website at www.TopUniversities.com. Quacquarelli Symonds was founded in 1990 by Nunzio Quacquarelli, and the QS world university rankings portfolio was launched in 2004. QS is pursuing its mission to enable motivated people to fulfill their potential through educational achievement, international mobility, and career development.
