Tune into Excellence with CommTV 2026: A celebration of CASAns passion and purpose

The much-anticipated COMMTV Launching and Awarding finally unfolded on March 23, 2026, at the Buenaventura Garcia Paredes, O.P. Building (BGPOP) Lobby. Bringing together 3rd-year and 4th-year CASAns, esteemed professors, and mentors, to witness the moment of recognition and new beginnings.

The program began with the singing of Lupang Hinirang and Invocation, led by Joseph Marion Tecson (3COM3), and Shierrah Sumacot (4COM2). This was then followed by an all-out performance from CASA Footworks, together with MusiCASA, featuring Paige Marie Hans (3COM1), Abigail Misagal (3COM1), and Alessandra Papas (3COM2), igniting the stage with movement and music

Guiding the program were talents from CASA RetorikaNiel Celestino (3COM2), Sonia Abitonia (3COM2), Danica Medel (3COM4), and Arjay Magbanua (4COM1). Meanwhile, the segment hosting was supported by Jessie Rivera (3COM3) and Mickyla Conde (3COM1).

In her Opening Remarks, CASA President Mary Grace Guillen reminded the audience that “Great things are worth the wait,” which truly warmed the hearts and commended the efforts of the previous school year juniors–now the graduating 4th Year CASAns.

At the center of the ceremony is the awarding of the production houses spearheaded by 4th-year CASAns, whose works stood as proof of hard work in crafting excellent shows. Here is the list of the awards and recognitions:

COMMTV 2026 Launch

Beyond the awarding of the 4th year CASAns, the event also marked the new beginning for the 3rd year CASAns. Through a series of interview segments, each production house was given a chance to introduce themselves, share some behind-the-scenes stories, and explain what the audience should expect from the shows they produced.

Bida One Production (3COM1), represented by Chrisna Granil and Abigail Belza, highlighted their goal of creating shows that go beyond entertainment and are also educational. Additionally, they reminded their viewers that they are not just spectators, but part of the story itself. 


Kwentwo Productions (3COM2), led by Mary Grace Guillen and Ydeen Rodrin, aims to produce shows that celebrate the diversity of the Thomasian community while encouraging individuals, regardless of gender or identity, to recognize their potential to inspire and bring joy. At the same time, they seek to reconnect audiences with the richness of Philippine history.


Arko Media (3COM3), represented by Joseph Marion Tecson and Shantelle Quintana, introduced their shows with an approach rooted in awareness and real-world relevance. At its core, their shows reflect a strong sense of empathy and responsibility, aiming to connect with communities through thoughtful, human-centered narratives.


Kite Studios (3COM4), represented by Karylle Delos Santos and Rovie Gregorio, expressed their dedication to bringing wild imagination into real life, transforming ideas into meaningful stories that resonate with their audience. More than just storytelling, they aim to create narratives where viewers feel acknowledged, represented, and genuinely part of the experience.


M&M Studios (SWIS), spearheaded by Margaux Navarro and Elloisa Macatangay, emphasized diversity within their team as a strength. They expressed gratitude for their collaborative dynamic, noting that their differences allowed them to create fresh and engaging shows.

Several intermission numbers added energy and entertainment to the program. Notable performances included CASAns Abigail Belza (3COM1) and Claire Orcino (1COM3), who serenaded the audience with the song Man I Need by Olivia Dean, while CASA Footworks returned to the stage for a dynamic closing performance.
The event concluded with closing remarks from Asst. Prof. Faye M. Abugan, MA, who left the audience with four key reminders:
”You learn by doing, you have to communicate, you prepare and execute and next, and to have the mindset of hindi pwedeng hindi pwede"

Leaving attendees with a sense of accomplishment and anticipation. 

Although COMMTV 2026 has concluded, the impact of the stories it honored lives on through the future graduates who will leave behind a legacy of excellence and the next generation of students prepared to carry it forward. It was more than just an event; it was a celebration of success, creativity, and passion.
