The Communication Arts Students' Association (CASA) will hold the 2nd session of SPARK! tomorrow, Monday, January 30, 2022, from 1:00 PM until 5:15 PM via Zoom meeting. It is a follow-up to the first SPARK! Session held last November 2022.

SPARK! stands for "Sine, Pelikula, at DokumentARyo sa Kanopy.” With the theme "Showcasing Thoughtful Entertainment for another holistic learning outside the classroom," this workshop series aims to promote holistic learning beyond the classroom by using Kanopy, a streaming service provided by the UST Miguel de Benavides Library.

The first SPARK! Session featured Mr. Steve Michael Moore Jr., MA and Ms. Angelica Azul as the speakers. It tackled two documentaries, Cola Conquest I and The Cow Who Wanted to Be a Hamburger.

This time around, A Thousand Cuts directed by Ramona S. Diaz is set to be tackled; it's a documentary that chronicles the journey of online news site Rappler and its CEO Maria Ressa in the fight against the Duterte administration's corruption, disinformation campaign, and the war on drugs.

We will be accompanied by Ms. Ma. Bernadette Reyes and Mr. Nico Joven Waje as the esteemed guest speakers of the 2nd SPARK! Session.
